January 2021:
The Southeast Florida Coral Reef Restoration Hub is working to restore the valuable and vulnerable coral reefs of Miami-Dade and Broward counties through cutting-edge science and community engagement. This effort is a collaboration between the University of Miami's Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, the University of Miami's College of Engineering, SECORE International, Nova Southeastern University, the Florida Aquarium, and Frost Science. In this video, we asked the lead scientists from each of the Restoration Hub's participating organizations why they are motivated to fight for the future of Florida's Coral Reef.

In November 2019, the Rescue a Reef program welcomed members of the Canon U.S.A., Inc. team aboard for a coral restoration expedition off the coast of Miami, FL to establish a new coral reef research site. This marked the beginning of Canon's ongoing collaboration with Rescue a Reef and the University of Miami to advance coral reef conservation through engaging, multimedia campaigns highlighting the importance of these ecosystems. Enjoy!
